PYROCO2 presented at the 11th UK Catalysis Conference

From biocatalysis to heterogeneous catalysis, and innovations in upgrading alternative feedstocks to value-added products, the conference covered it all.

It was an incredible platform to showcase PYROCO2’s breakthroughs in upgrading acetone into sustainable aviation fuels (SAF) and to share the project’s ambitious goals for a greener future.

Our colleague Weronika Gruszka from Johnson Matthey received fantastic engagement with her poster presentation and was even invited to contribute to the podcast “Catalysis Simplified.” She’ll be discussing:

  • SAF production
  • The role of catalysis in making SAF a reality
  • Key challenges in SAF production
  • How her research is tackling these challenges
